Sort of like this, kinda...poor Brun. |
Last night I had a dream that we were at my brother in law Greg's (make believe) bachelor pad before he and Keli got married.
In the dream, I decided that the furniture was not arranged in the most satisfactory way and started moving everything around. Ended up that the dining room table was moved to the previous living room and the couches were now in the room next to it and...I moved everything. Time jumped forward, and before you know it, we were having a raucous party, college style (apparently wholesome if you've every searched "college party" for your blog in google), and there were a lot of people there.
Then those people disappeared and we were fixing up the house, HGTV style, before the Greg got back from...maybe the honeymoon?... uh wherever he went.
Meantime we somehow sucked the vacuum plug/cord into the vacuum hose and couldn't get the vacuum to shut off and let the cord out, riddle me that.
So I looked up "Dreams" in google and got hit on a website about dream meanings. Here's the synopsis on Chase Dreams;
Chase dreams stem from feelings of anxiety in your waking life. Anxiety huh? "In such dreams, the scenario often features you being pursued by an attacker, an animal, a monster or an unknown figure, who wants to hurt or possibly kill you. Consequently, you run, you hide or you try to outwit your pursuer. Your actions in the dream parallel how you would respond to pressure and cope with fears, stress or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting the situation, your dream indicates that you have a tendency to run away and avoid the issue. Ask yourself who is chasing you, so that you can gain a better understanding and insight on the source of your fears and anxieties." Dun dun dun
"The pursuer or attacker who is chasing you in your dream may also represent an aspect of yourself. Your own feelings of anger, jealousy, fear, and possibly love, can manifest itself as the threatening figure. Or the shadowy figure can symbolize the rejected characteristics of your Self. You may be projecting these feelings onto the unknown chaser. Next time you have a dream of being chased, turn around and confront your pursuer. Ask them why they are chasing you. What are you trying to run from?" I'll try to remember to turn around and ask next time...
"Consider the distance or gap between you and your pursuer. This indicates your closeness to the issue. If the pursuer is gaining on you, then it suggests that the problem is not going to go away. The problem will surround you, until you confront and address it. However, if you are able to widen the gap between your pursuer, then you are able to successfully distance yourself from the problem. In essence, the problem is fading away." Well I don't know where the pursuer ended up so does that mean it went away?
Huh anyway, what category would you classify the second dream as?
A furniture moving, partying, fixing dream? Any ideas?
