Trail rash in St George |
That was, unfortunately, as far as I got with it because apparently bikes weren't allowed inside the apartment and the only way it would fit in our storage closet was to deflate the front tire and take it off. Needless to say, there was no way I was going to put the tire back on and walk down to the gas station to inflate it every time I wanted to ride the darn thing. So it sat in a closet for months until we moved and then the bicycle hung from the ceiling in the garage for a year where I completely forgot about it.
Today I grabbed four quarters from my money jar, a collar and leash for Bruno, an air gauge from my glove compartment, and put my keys in the hidey hole pocket on the bike and wheeled it up to the gas station for a tire fill-up. After wheeling it back home I dropped Bruny off in his cage and strapped my helmet on.
Wow have I missed it! It was like hanging out with a good friend I haven't seen in way too long! Probably, I looked pretty funny with my mushroom shaped helmet on my head and a big grin on my face, as I rode through the neighborhoods on my old trusty bike. But I loved it and will be doing much more of it...as soon as I can get Brett to help me raise the seat and handle bars :).
