Methods in Money Saving

I love saving money! It just feels so good to know you got a bargain. Here are a few of the methods I employ for this purpose:

I will take any coupons I can get my grubby (not really) little hands on. They definitely add up, a couple times I have walked out of the checkout line with $30 or so bucks off my transaction. I don't subscribe to the paper because it seems to me I would break even on the cost of the paper and the amount I save from inside it.
I just take handouts from my work and from Brett's work and my mom and...wherever available.
Also there are a few really neat websites to print grocery coupons from:

And then there are the printable retail coupons and online promo code savers:

I also like the websites that alert you to deals and give tips on how to save money, here are a few of my favorites:

Other than these general sites, a large percentage of businesses (restaurants, supply stores, grocery stores, etc) have deals and promos if you go to their websites. Especially, a lot of restaurants will send out emails for coupons and one time free items. A few businesses' websites that I have gone through and saved money (or at least gotten a coupon) are:

Texas Road House
Red Lobster
Olive Garden
Ihop
Bed Bath and Beyond
Happy Sumo
Macy's
Old Navy
JC Penney
Best Buy
Staples

Along these same lines, if you are planning a trip somewhere, check the airline website, hotel website, city website, and restaurants in the area.

I saved 10% on our airplane tickets to California with a promo code
Although we didn't use them, I printed a couple coupon possibilities for Las Vegas

And if you have access to Military/Government discounts, it never hurts to ask!

Sometimes you can also sign up for free samples and/or coupons through snail mail. Utah Deal Diva is big on these. I have gotten:

granola
granola bars
perfume
lotion
coupon savings booklets (for cleaning products, cooking sauces, toiletry items)
calendars
cereal
travel size shampoo and conditioner
All sorts of things for free!

And last but not least SWAG BUCKS!

Swag Bucks is a site that you can earn points to buy things in their "Swag Store." The points are earned lots of different ways - searching for random things that you would normally search for on a daily basis on any search engine, quick daily polls, watching short clips, using the Swag Bucks tool bar, reading the Swag Bucks blog, taking surveys, etc.
I already got a subscription to Prevention Magazine for free. Right now I'm saving up my Swag Bucks points for a $20 dollar gift card to target. I'm almost there too.
It's a fun, free thing to do that also has a purpose.

Search & Win

(I also have the Swidget at the bottom of the page)

Hope this helps someone save some dough!!
