If someone had told me in high school that I would look forward to the day that I could wake up early; I would have laughed in their face.
But today that happened!
For the last year I have worked until 2am (Translation: a past 3am bedtime). So breakfast is around noon, lunch at 4, snack at 7, and dinner after 9pm. I have missed that beautiful blue morning light, the feel of everything just starting, everyone just getting up and going. I missed the awesome gym classes and cooler summer mornings. It was obnoxious trying to alter my eating times to fit everyone else's customary meal times.
Today I filled in at work by coming in early - 10am! I woke up and the birds were chirping and it was beautiful and not too hot out. I got in my car and the lunch traffic hadn't yet clogged all the lanes leading to the freeway on-ramp. I sipped my coffee and drove all the way to work with a smile plastered on my face.
