New Discoveries and a Request for Feedback

  • I was looking at a blog today and noticed a link for a picture catalog of the blogger's pictures. This took me to a new website called foodgawker. If you want to see some awesome photography and food that will make your mouth water and your hands want to cook, check this website out. What's neat about it is if you see a picture of something you want to make, you just click and it will take you to a blog with a recipe. I've registered for the site and submitted two pictures, we'll see if they are accepted. If they get accepted, maybe I'll get more feedback on my blog in general from more traffic. If not I guess that means I need to work on my photography skills.

  • I also discovered a good website that explains the ins and outs of pictures and editing them. It's called Digital Photography School and has hundreds of tutorial type articles all about lighting, composition, editing...you name it. I wish I would have discovered this website in high school, it would have helped me achieve better pictures for my photography class.
  • I also looked up information on the camera that we have and that I've been using for the pictures on the blog. I realized that I have not been taking full advantage of the features the camera offers. As time goes on, my blog should start looking a little better.
  • Ok, here's where I ask for feedback from anyone reading. I need some constructive criticism. If you feel awkward, you can select anonymous and tell me incognito. I need to know if I'm putting to many pictures or if you like the step-by-step idea of them. Does the format/layout of each post make sense or should I change the order or length or anything else? I really would like to hear thoughts!
